Raizer II
Lifting a Fallen Person With Ease
According to the CDC, it's not uncommon for an elderly person to fall (1 in 4 Seniors age 65 and older fall each year). While not every fall results in injury, muscle weakness or underlying physical problems can make it difficult for your loved one to stand up again. If a spouse or caregiver is unable to assist the person properly (and without injury to themselves), it could be a sign that independent living is no longer safe.
To assure self-reliance, the Raizer II is a battery-operated lifting chair that can raise a fallen person to a manageable sitting position with just the push of a button. The device is portable, its color-coded legs/winglets make it easy to assemble, and it doesn't require physical effort by the person who fell or the person assisting them to stand. The Raizer II also includes improvements over the first-generation chair (safety belts are adjustable, an intuitive emergency stop button has been added, and the base unit is lighter and easier to manage).
Falls don’t always lead to injury, but if a spouse is unable to physically assist their partner to stand again, even the fear of falling can create undue stress and fear for both. The Raizer II is a way to provide a stable, controlled, and dignified way of assisting someone from a fall. It provides peace of mind and instills confidence that it's safe to continue living independently longer.
